Privacy statement

In the course of our service delivery to you as an individual or as someone associated with a corporate or institutional client, FMLA may obtain privacy sensitive information. Obtaining this information is important to our ability to deliver the highest level of service to you, but we also recognise that you expect us to treat this information with the necessary care.

FMLA does not disclose privacy sensitive information to third parties, except as described in this Privacy Statement. Third party disclosures may include sharing such information with non-affiliated law firms that perform support services in connection with matters coordinated by FMLA. Information may also be shared with third party service providers that provide professional, taxation or accounting advice to FMLA.

Non-affiliated companies that assist FMLA in providing services to our clients and service providers or suppliers giving service or supplies to FMLA are required to maintain the confidentiality of such information to the extent they receive it and to use privacy sensitive information only in the course of providing such services or delivery of supplies and only for the purposes for which FMLA has given express instructions.

We may also disclose your personal information to fulfil your instructions, to protect our rights and interests and those of our business partners or pursuant to your express consent. Finally, under limited circumstances, your personal information may be disclosed to third parties as permitted by, or to comply with, applicable laws and regulations. For instance, such disclosure of privacy sensitive information may occur when cooperating with law enforcement or the audit or other scrutiny of professional services organisations (such as the Dutch Bar Association).

FMLA is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of privacy sensitive information. We limit access to privacy sensitive information to FMLA partners, associates and employees and our own service providers and suppliers are held to stringent standards of privacy. We also maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect privacy sensitive information against loss, misuse, damage or modification and unauthorised access or disclosure.

FMLA may make available on this website third party applications such as content linking or sharing facilities. Information collected by providers of such applications is governed by their own privacy policies. FMLA does not accept any liability for the use of your information by such third party information providers.
