Advising our clients on market conduct rules for financial products and consumer credit offers and intermediation. The business and commercial objectives of our clients introducing new financial products and credit offers are important to us. We assist translating these into proper compliance with the market conduct rules where our clients engage with large groups of consumers and other non-professional customers.
Our team members have advised in respect of a wide range of regulatory topics that are important for the financial industry. We combine a thorough command of the governance of regulated businesses and integrity of business conduct with an indepth understanding of the financial markets and our client's business needs. We have advised banks, financiers, lease companies, consumer credit offerors, financial intermediaries and not-for-profit organisations in their dealings with complex compliance issues and the documentation of transactions.
The regulatory environment of the investment management industry is changing rapidly. The AIFMD, for example, will introduce a license requirement for managers of currently unregulated real estate funds, private equity funds, hedge funds and other alternative investment funds. At the same time, pension funds are facing a tougher regulatory regime in terms of prudent investment management, regulatory buffers, governance and skills (DNB) as well as conduct of business and transparency rules (AFM).
